Leopard signs U23 German ITT Champion Heidemann

It is with great pleasure that Leopard Pro Cycling announces the signing of Miguel Heidemann, the current U23 German Time Trial Champion. "I am grateful for this opportunity to further develop as a rider in one of the strongest Continental Teams in the world."

By signing Heidemann, Leopard Pro Cycling adds a very good climber with maybe even better time trial skills to the roster. In recent years, Heidemann has shown his capabilities in many races, with the 2019 season as an absolute highlight. The season started of well with four top twenty results in tough Italian U23 races, before finishing thirteenth in the GC of the Orlen Nations GP, with some of the best riders in the U23 circuit involved. However, the pinnacle of Heidemann's 2019 season was claiming the U23 German Individual Time Trial Championship title, distancing the runner-up with almost one minute. Heidemann - who also doesn't shy away from helping his team mates - continued a strong run of form with two top ten results at the Tour de l'Avenir and position 25 at the U23 ITT World Championships.

Miguel Heidemann: "I am grateful for this opportunity to further develop as a rider in one of the strongest Continental Teams in the world. I am looking forward to have fun with my new teammates and together strive for the best possible results. For myself, the German Time Trial Championships and the Tour de l'Avenir will be big goals, and I also am excited to start in the difficult races in for example Belgium and The Netherlands."

Markus Zingen, Team Manager: "We are happy to welcome Miguel in the team. We have been following him quite a while now and we supported him already behind the scenes. Therefore I am sure that he will fit well into our group of riders and we will have a nice and successful season together."
