One last chance at Sparkassen Münsterland Giro

Leopard Pro Cycling is happy to end the season at the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro, an important German UCI 2.HC race that takes the riders from Coesfeld trough Münsterland to Münster.

ROSTER: Jan Brockhoff, Konrad Gessner, Alexander Krieger, Gaëtan Pons, Szymon Rekita, Jens Reynders & Mario Spengler - DS: Markus Zingen

A long season comes to an end at the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro, one of the most important one day races in Germany. The race organizers have again been able to draw a very nice route, starting in Coesfeld for a big and smaller loop to the West of about 125 kilometers, an area know for its castles and horses. After, the race will head into the city center of Münster where a local lap is situated and which takes the riders along the St. Paul's Basilica to the finish in front of the Residenzschloss. One can follow the final on site, but also via and the live coverage on WDR.

As the Münsterland landscape is mostly flat, one can easily explain why mostly the sprinters have been able to win the race. The likes of Sam Bennett, John Degenkolb, Tom Boonen, André Greipel (2x) and Marcel Kittel (2x) have all raised their hands whilst crossing the line and also this year there are plenty of big sprinters that will gather at the start line. Since seven World Tour teams will make there appearance, Pascal Ackermann, Sam Bennett, Phil Bauhaus, Max Walscheid, John Degenkolb and André Greipel all have one clear goal in mind: taking the win. It all depends on who has the most power left after a demanding season. Leopard's go to guy will be Alexander Krieger, who has shown on several occassions this season that he can also compete with the big guys.

Markus Zingen, Sports Director: "We are very happy to be part of the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro! This will be the last race of what has been a very successfull year for Leopard Pro Cycling and we want to show ourselves once again. There are some strong teams and riders at the start, but I am sure that we will be able to have another great performance and end our road season on a high with another good result."
