Final race of the season: Profronde van Drenthe

All good things must come to an end, also the 2021 road campaign. After months of racing in Belgium, France, Croatia, Spain and more, Leopard Pro Cycling will end the road season in The Netherlands.

Profronde van Drenthe (UCI 1.1)
24.10 | Assen - Hoogeveen | 201 km

Those who think the season will end on an easy note will be suprised. At the Albert Achterhes Profronde van Drenthe, the riders will find a very tough race of just over 200 kilometers. The race is known for its many cobblestone sectors. One can count ten of them, which combined cover no less than 26 kilometers. As if these difficult passages are not enough, the organization made sure that the route would cover the famous VAM-climb, which needs to be conquered three times. Before the race reaches the local lap in the finishing city of Hoogeveen, the new Muur van Emmen climb needs be taken on twice as well. With three WorldTeams at the start, next to some strong ProTeams, Leopard Pro Cycling needs to be at the start line at their best. With Jarno Mobach showing great form in last weeks Omloop van de Braakman - in similar circumstances - and six other strong riders at the start, the team has different cards to play.
