GP Lillers: debut of Mauro Schmid

In contrary to many cancelled and postponed races in Europe, the GP Lillers will continue. Leopard Pro Cycling comes to the north of France with a roster of seven strong riders, eager to come back home with a very good result.

The Race
The 55th edition of the GP Lillers consists of ten local laps of 18,7 kilometers each. From the start/finish line on the Place Jean Jaurès, the riders will race clockwise to the Cote de Hurionville, the main obstacle of the day. This climb is 500 meters long and has a 4,6% average slope. These ten local laps on difficult roads will make the race very hard. In recent years, one has seen many possibile outcomes, whether it is a bunch sprint finish, a solo victory or a smaller group coming to the line. Good to know: new signing Mario Schmid will make his debut for Leopard.

Previous years
Last year, the GP Lillers was cancelled due to stormy weather conditions. For Leopard it's therefore the sixth time at the start line. Results have varied throughout the year, with the team improving from year to year. In 2018, Leopard's last participation, Mario Spengler finished the race in tenth position.
