Jarno Mobach completes Leopard Pro Cycling 2021 side
Jarno Mobach leaves Development Team Sunweb for Leopard Pro Cycling, being the fourth 2021 recruit for the Luxembourgish team. The Leopard roster for the upcoming year is now complete.
As a junior, Jarno Mobach showed lots of potential during the biggest races on the calendar. In tough races as Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, E3 Harelbeke, Tour du Pays de Vaud, GP General Patton, Oberösterreich Juniorenrundfaht and Grand Prix Rüebliland he was able to compete for the victory, which he also took on several occassions. However, his biggest win was of course the junior edition of Paris-Roubaix in 2016, beating riders such as Nils Eekhoff, Jasper Philipsen and Marc Hirschi.
In 2017, the Dutchman made his debut in the U23 ranks as part of Development Team Sunweb. His highlight that season was his solo victory in the closing stage of the highly-rated Olympia’s Tour. One year later he could express his love for the classic type races once again by finishing fifth at the Tour de Bretagne and eleventh at Paris Roubaix U23. In 2019, Mobach was able to finish amongst the first at both Gent-Wevelgem and the Tour of Flanders, before having problems with his fatigue and training efforts. This year, Mobach showed again promising signs in the few opportunities that he got due to many race cancellations. This motivates the 22-year-old Mobach to come back to his form from the past in 2021.
