Jaume Masia: fastest man on Friday in Misano

Le0pard rider Jaume Masia takes the first position of Friday’s classification at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and teammate Dennis Foggia clinches 8th spot.

Here we are again for the second venue on Misano’s soil! Needless to say we are eager to race again this weekend as last week we almost nailed a complete Le0pard podium and after smelling it, what we wanna do is to taste it! Are we going to get on Sunday? Who knows! But at least we’ll try to be on top, without any doubt. The circumstances are mostly equal: same temperatures, high hopes, fast riders and fast bikes, but more gathered data, and of course higher motivation.

This morning things have gone pretty good as Dennis Foggia has finished the 3rd on the FP1 and Jaume Masia has been the 6th. A very positive starting point of the weekend that has resulted on an even better end of the day: when it was crunch time on the FP2, Masia has smashed the track record setting a lower marker (1’41.663) that has placed him as the fastest man of today’s practice sessions! Teammate Dennis Foggia has done a good job too: he’s been the 7th in the afternoon and the 8th overall (1’42.152). Let’s say the chances are there and we just need to nail the situation practice after practice!

Who will take pole tomorrow?

Jaume Masia, 1st

“It’s been a positive day, we’ve improved significantly and seems that we have a clearer path, things are going better and I can’t wait to keep working this weekend to get a good result”.

Dennis Foggia, 8th

“I’m quite pleased after today’s performance. On the last attempt I haven’t been able to improve due to some traffic but in any case I felt good and fast and I knew I could have finished on the top3. We’ll have another chance tomorrow morning, I’ll try to go straight to Q2”.
