Leopard Pro Cycling signs Louis Coqueret
The start of the 2021 season is only a few days away. A new season means new riders and Louis Coqueret is the first reinforcement for Leopard Pro Cycling.
Louis Coqueret is a 19-year-old rider from the French Ardennes. Louis is a complete rider who prefers stage races and difficult hilly races, next to the time trial, a discpline that is close to his heart. As a junior, Louis impressed as part of the Van Rysel-AG2R La Mondiale team, where he rode two seasons. Some of his most notable results are 7th at the GP Bob Jungels, 9th at La Classique des Alpes Juniors, 4th and a stage win at the Ain Bugey Valromey Tour, 9th at Aubel-Thimister-Stavelot, 5th at the French ITT Championships and 9th at the Chrono des Nations. All results that Louis was unfortunately not really able to follow up on because of the shortened 2020 season. However, as a first year U23 rider Louis still was able to win two regional races in Spain and France and the regional Time Trial and Road Championships. Besides this, Louis also rode a strong U23 French Time Trial Championships, as he finished in sixth position. In 2021 Louis will start his second year in the U23 ranks and his first one in the Leopard Pro Cycling outfit.
