Mauro Schmid joins Team Qhubeka ASSOS in 2021
Leopard Pro Cycling is happy to officially annouce that Mauro Schmid will be part of Team Qhubeka ASSOS for the 2021 season.
After Mattias Skjelmose Jensen's move to Trek-Segafredo, Leopard Pro Cycling brings yet another rider up to the WorldTour level. Also for Swiss rider Mauro Schmid the 2020 season was far from easy, starting with his team - Team Monti - folding early in the season. Leopard Pro Cycling stepped up and offered him the chance to develop in it's highly-rated professional structure. For Leopard, Mauro impressed the most with a strong performance at the Tour de Luxembourg, where he finished in eleventh overall after heading into the closing stages of the race with an all-or-nothing mentality. During his time at Leopard Pro Cycling, the talented rider developed even further and it is therefore no surprise that he is now offered this chance in the WorldTour.
