Mixed feelings after Tour of Antalya

The Tour of Antalya is in the books. In the four days of racing on Turkish roads, good team performances and bad luck alternated. In the end, Leopard Pro Cycling travels back home with a big confidence boost after a great execution of the team tactics.

The race summarized
After the Estonian Mihkel Räim (Israel Start-Up Nation) sprinted to the victory in an uneventful opening stage, Leopard Pro Cycling took things into its own hands on the second day. After Patrick Haller was part of the breakaway, the team posted itself in front of the peloton and many riders were dropped. Because of crashes, the team was unfortunately not able to compete for the stage win. In stage two and three, there were crashes of Szymon Rekita (DNF) and Mattias Skjelmose Jensen, luckily both riders are relatively fine. In the all deciding stage three to the Termessos climb, Miguel Heidemann was Leopard's finisher as the crossed the line in ninth. This put the German in eleventh overall, but in the closing stage - where Arthur Kluckers showed himself in the attack - he moved up to a top ten overall finish.
