Racing on legendary roads at Liège-Bastogne-Liège U23

Everyone who has just a little bit feeling with the world of cycling will recognize the name Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Next Saturday, Leopard Pro Cycling will race on legendary roads in the U23 version of this monument.

Liège - Bastogne - Liège U23 (UCI 1.2U)
16.04 | Bastogne-Blegny | 174.8 km

One can expect a nervous peloton at the start line in Bastogne. And why shouldn't they be? With almost 175 kilometers of difficult climbs in the Ardennes on the menu, the riders need to pay very close attention for the entirety of the race. Some of the climbs that need to be covered are the Côte de Saint-Roch, Côte de Houffalize, Côte de Wanne, Mur de Stockeu, Côte de la Haute Levée, Col du Rosier and the famous Côte de la Redoute. It is no surprise that in recent years we saw the likes of Tobias Foss, Andrea Bagioli, João Almeida, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Romain Bardet and Guillaume Martin on the podium. Also this year competition will be tough with some of the world best U23 teams around, such as Hagens Berman Axeon, Swiss Racing Academy and the development teams of WorldTour-sides Lotto Soudal, Team DSM, Groupama-FDJ and Jumbo-Visma. Nevertheless, Leopard Pro Cycling comes to the race with great motivation thanks to recent good results and a solid recon ride earlier this week.
