Skjelmose Jensen joins Trek-Segafredo as a trainee

Leopard Pro Cycling is happy to announce that the young Danish talent will be a trainee at the American WorldTour team.

Don't get confused when you see Mattias Skjelmose Jensen riding in the Trek-Segafredo outfit in the coming races.  Despite just penning a deal with Leopard Pro Cycling at the end of 2019, Skjelmose Jensen now gets offered already a big chance at the highest podium in cycling. Due to the reduced cycling calendar, the 19-year-old has only had the chance to ride two races in the Leopard outfit, but was still able to show his consistent progress. The traineeship at Trek-Segafredo has offically started at the first of August and lasts until the end of this year. During this period, Mattias will race for both Trek-Segafredo and Leopard Pro Cycling. We wish Mattias all the best in the coming months and will be in close contact with the Dane throughout these for all exciting months.

"First of all, I am really happy to be given this opportunity by both Trek-Segafredo and Leopard Pro Cycling. Of course it's the biggest chance for me to show my capabilities to a WorldTour team and I will give my all. My main goal is to gain as much experience as possible during the next months. Next to that, I also want to help the team out. As one can expect, I am counting down the days to the first races with the team."
