Tim Torn Teutenberg impresses on the track

Last week, Tim Torn Teutenberg was active at the Fiorenzuola International Track Event. During six days of intense racing, Teutenberg was able to impress.

Summary
On the first day - last week Wednesday - Teutenberg took part in the Men Elite Scratch Race. After 40 laps and sixteen kilometers on the Velodrome Fiorenzuola d'Arda, a very solid fourth position was the result, being one of five riders that had a lap advantage on the field. It was a great warm-up for the Omnium that started on day two. After claiming eleventh in the Scratch race, Teutenberg went on to win the Tempo Race, beating the likes of Benjamin Thomas and Elia Viviani. A fifth position in the Elimination Race followed, which moved the 19-year-old up to fifth in the overall classification. Teutenberg was able to keep his spot after an okay performance in the closing Points Race.

In the remainder of the Track Event, Teutenberg was able to show himself, but the big results from earlier in the tournament unfortunately were not longer there. First, the German teamed up with his fellow countryman Pierre-Pascal Keup. Together with him, Teutenberg finished fifteenth and sixteenth in respectively the Madison and the Flying Lap. Later, four-time World Champion Morgan Kneisky became Teutenberg's partner. Together with the Frenchman, the event was closed with two ninth places in the Madison and the eighteenth position in the Flying Lap. All in all, an event where Teutenberg displayed his amazing potential amongst some of the biggest names.

"I had a really good week of track racing in Italy. There was a strong field, so it was some high-level track racing throughout the event. I was able to get some very satisfying results, which gives me confidences for the near future, starting with the U23 European Championships next month."
