Arthur Kluckers joins UAE Team Emirates as stagiaire
After what has been an impressive season thusfar, Arthur Kluckers has earned himself a spot at UAE Team Emirates.
22-year-old Arthur Kluckers joined Leopard Pro Cycling prior to the 2019 season, after strong results and performance in the junior ranks in well-known races such as the Course de la Paix Juniors, Grand Prix Rüebliland and the Tour du Pays de Vaud. On top of that, he finished second at the Youth Olympics. At this point, Kluckers was already two times National Junior Time Trial Champion.
At Leopard Pro Cycling, Kluckers cemented his status as one of the biggest talents of the country. Not only did he win three U23 national titles, he was always a reliable force in the biggest races of the season. Especially this season, Kluckers knows how to convert his potential into results: 5th at Le Triptyque des Monts & Châteaux, 2nd in stage one of Le Tour de Bretagne Cycliste, 9th at the U23 European Time Trial Championships, a stage win at the Flèche du Sud and a stage win plus 5th overall at the Tour Alsace.
Kluckers will join the UCI WorldTour outfit as a stagiaire with immediate effect with his first race being the Tour de l'Ain (UCI 2.1)
