Saturday of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix comes to an end as Ángel Piqueras takes 3rd position to start tomorrow’s race from the front row, while Adrián Fernández will do so from 7th on the grid on the third row:
- The sun welcomed us today for qualifying day at Misano.
- Saturday kicked off in the morning with Practice 2, in which both Le0pard riders left it to their last lap to set their fastest lap times of the session.
- Ángel Piqueras finished in 4th position with a time of 1’40.747, occupying the same place on the combined, while Adrián Fernández did so in 13th with a 1’41.218, sitting 11th on the combined with his 1’41.071 from yesterday’s Practice 1.
- With both Spaniards going directly into Q2, a hectic afternoon got underway later in the day.
- Pushing in his first run of Q2, Adrián Fernández qualified in 7th place with a time of 1’40.677. The Spaniard was improving on his last flying lap, but had it cancelled due to a yellow flag.
- Ángel Piqueras, for his part, will start from the first row of the grid tomorrow, having taken 3rd position in today’s qualifying with the 1’40.460 he set on his last lap.
