Grand Prix of Italy: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at Mugello from the fourth and fifth rows of the grid, with David Almansa in the 10th spot and Adrián Fernández in the 13th:

  • Saturday dawned with clear skies among the Tuscan hills, welcoming the riders for Free Practice 2 this morning at Mugello.
  • David Almansa worked on improving his pace, continuing in yesterday’s form to finish 2nd with a time of 1’55.291. Adrián Fernández finished 11th with a time of 1’56.079.
  • The two Spaniards went directly into Q2, but a challenging session was ahead.
  • David Almansa left it to his second run to set his fastest time of qualifying, a 1’55.732 to start from 10th on the grid tomorrow. Adrián Fernández, on the other hand, set his best time in his first run, qualifying 13th with a time of 1’55.834.
  • The most important day of the weekend lies ahead!
“It was a bittersweet Saturday. After the sensations of both yesterday’s Practice and this morning’s Free Practice, we were expecting a completely different qualifying. Today we couldn’t put in a faster lap to qualify better, but I will give my 100% to take those good feelings into tomorrow’s race”

“The main goal today was to do quality laps, without taking risks or crashing, and we achieved it. Our grid position is not what I expected today, because we could have done better, but it is a step forward after missing two races. The most important thing is that tomorrow we will be racing, which is what I am looking forward to the most”
