Adrián Fernández takes podium in third place at Misano

Le0pard Racing completes the San Marino Grand Prix with Adrián Fernández back on the podium in 3rd place while David Almansa finishes 14th:

  • On a good start to the race, both Le0pard riders remained around their starting positions. Adrián Fernández quickly moved up from 7th to 5th, while David Almansa did it from 11th to 8th.
  • David Almansa tried to catch up with the group ahead of him from 8th position, but started to struggle, dropping to 14th. He managed to recover, climbing some positions up until a crash occurred right in front of him. He clashed, but avoided crashing, finishing today’s race in 14th place at the end.
  • Adrián Fernández overtook for 3rd place five laps into the race, being overtaken back to 6th. The Spaniard kept pushing, sticking to the leading group in 5th position until the very last lap. Making the move into 4th then, Adrián Fernández managed to pull off one last overtake and crossed the finish line in 3rd place, securing his first podium finish since Argentina this season.

“I’m very happy. This podium is very important and positive for us. It confirms the good feeling we’ve had in the last few races, our confidence and our hard work. I want to thank everyone who has been by my side during the difficult times this season. It is not being easy, but we are getting back to where this team belongs!”

“The expectations going into the race did not match today’s result. At the beginning of the race, we were feeling good, moving up a few places, but I was already having some difficulties when a crash happened in front of me. Luckily, we managed to avoid crashing as well and, at least, we were able to finish today’s race”
