Adrián Fernández leads Friday at Misano

The Misano World Circuit welcomed us for the second time this season, with the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix starting today with Adrián Fernández on top and Ángel Piqueras in 3rd:

  • Friday got underway with wet conditions on track for Free Practice this morning.
  • Starting strongly from where he left off at Misano two weeks ago, Ángel Piqueras took to the track to top the timesheets early on, improving progressively to end Free Practice in 1st place with a time of 1’52.819. Adrián Fernández, for his part, finished in 6th position with a 1’54.480.
  • The afternoon came with dry conditions for Practice 1, with both Le0pard riders taking a step forward in their lap times and rhythms.
  • Ángel Piqueras finished Friday in 3rd position with a time of 1’41.203, while Adrián Fernández climbed to the top of the timesheets today, pushing towards the end of Practice 1 to set the fastest time of the day, a 1’41.071.
  • Qualifying day awaits tomorrow!
“To start the weekend on top is always good news. This weekend is the perfect opportunity to make amends for the mistakes we made two weeks ago, learning from them so we don’t make them again. We are starting from a good base, which will help us to work towards the right direction, but we still need to figure out some things I’m trying to understand better about our race performance”

“I’m really happy! The feeling has been great from the beginning, but it’s true that today I felt it was a bit more difficult in comparison to the previous weekend here in Misano. I think it was due to the track conditions, which caused a lack of grip. However, I felt as comfortable with the bike as I did two weeks ago, and we already have a great base from which to build on this weekend!”
