Adrián Fernández takes pole position at Le Mans

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at Le Mans from pole position with Adrián Fernández and from 11th on the fourth row with Guido Pini:

  • Finding improvements under sunny skies, Free Practice 2 wrapped up this morning at Le Mans with Adrián Fernández in 1st position and Guido Pini in 7th, setting times of 1’40.255 and 1’40.697 respectively.
  • Despite suffering a crash in Q1, Guido Pini made it into Q2. Although he couldn’t improve on his second run of Q2 due to another crash, the Italian qualified in 11th place with a time of 1’40.756.
  • Adrián Fernández, for his part, pushed hard from the start, but it was on his last flying lap that he set the fastest lap time, a 1’40.044 with which he will start from pole position tomorrow at Le Mans.
  • We can’t wait to race!
“Yesterday I wasn’t entirely happy with the feeling on the bike, but the team worked really hard to improve it. This morning I already felt great, leading the session and building a strong pace ahead of the race. With that confidence and positive feeling, we were also able to secure pole position in qualifying. We still don’t know exactly what the weather conditions will be like tomorrow, but we’ll give it our all whatever happens!”

“I have to say I’m satisfied because, somehow, we managed to save the day. Tomorrow we’ll be starting from 11th on the grid. It’s not the result we were hoping for, but it could have been worse. The positive thing is that the feeling has improved a lot today, which is very important heading into the race. We’ll try our best tomorrow!”
