Adrián Fernández tops Friday at Misano

The thirteenth round of the season kicked off today at the Misano World Circuit, with Adrián Fernández finishing Friday on top while Ángel Piqueras did so in 4th place:

  • The sun greeted us today on the first day of action at the San Marino Grand Prix.
  • Free Practice got underway in the morning with both Le0pard riders eager to take on the track. Ángel Piqueras finished the morning in 7th position with a time of 1’41.766, ahead of teammate Adrián Fernández in 8th with a time of 1’41.771.
  • The afternoon came with Practice 1, where the two Spaniards found improvements to their performance. 
  • Adrián Fernández worked on his pace as well as he was able to set a new all-time lap record, setting the first ever 1’40 in the lightweight class at Misano, topping the timesheets today with a 1’40.909.
  • Ángel Piqueras pushed from the beginning, improving progressively to finish Friday in 4th place with a time of 1’41.113.
  • Saturday awaits!
“I’m very happy because we were able to put in a really good lap. However, I didn’t feel completely comfortable today. We still have to work on some details I think we can improve, but it’s been a very positive first day in Misano!”
