Le0pard rider Jaume Masia has finished 9th on the combined standings of Friday and teammate Dennis Foggia the 11th.
Racing at the same track as the previous week is an advantage but doesn’t mean that the job is done. We are still at the Red Bull Ring ready to fight this weekend, as it’s time for the Grand Prix of Styria, the 6th round of the 2020 season. Five days ago Spaniard Jaume Masia took second step of the podium here and extended Le0pard records in Austria (so far, two victories and two second positions) so we are positive and motivated to try to repeat that result!
This morning, Foggia and Masia went out to test the track under hotter conditions, seems that the rain is giving us some rest but you never know. During the FP1 both riders felt quite good on their bikes and throughout the whole circuit, and at the end of the session Dennis finished the 7th and Masia the 9th. As we all know, it’s important to try to set fast lap times besides trying different things because rivals are competitive and fast, and the sooner we can secure a Q2 spot, the better. In the afternoon, things went quite good too, Masia improved and crossed the line the 6th and Foggia the 13th after finding some traffic on his best lap. Things this way, Jaume has finished the 9th (1’36.575) on the combined standings of today and the Dennis, the 11th (1’36.630).
From the speed point of view, Dennis Foggia’s bike has been the fastest (219.9) and Masia’s one the third (219.0). If we add those numbers to our riders skills, and to the gathered experience here, we can fairly say that we have some cool ingredients, now it’s time to prepare the best recipe possible!
