The first day of action of the British Grand Prix comes to an end with David Almansa in 2nd position, while Joel Esteban, replacing Adrián Fernández this weekend, finished 20th:
- Sunny skies welcomed us for Free Practice 1 today at Silverstone.
- David Almansa started the day with a good feeling, finishing the session in 2nd place, progressively improving to set a 2’10.714 on his last to second lap. Joel Esteban, riding the Honda for the first time, finished 15th this morning with a time of 2’12.333.
- Securing a seat in Q2, David Almansa continued to work on his pace and feeling during the afternoon, sitting 2nd in Practice with a time of 2’09.344. Joel Esteban, for his part, will have to go through Q1 as he finished Practice in 20th place with a time of 2’10.923.
- Due to slow riding during this morning’s Free Practice 1, David Almansa will have to serve a Long Lap Penalty on Sunday’s race.
