British Grand Prix: Saturday

Saturday is gone and the only thing missing is tomorrow’s race! Let’s sum up how the day has gone:

  • Italian Dennis Foggia started the qualifying day with good feelings and ended up the 5th on the FP3. His fastest lap time (2’11.609) allowed him to go straight to Q2.
  • Spaniard Xavi Artigas did a good start too, set a faster record than yesterday but at the end of the session had a little problem on his bike and couldn’t do better. Although he was 12th at that time (2’12.208) and would have gone to Q2, rivals improved their lap times, and finally, Xavi finished 17th, which meant he had to go to Q1. He couldn’t find the way to set the perfect lap during Q1 and will start tomorrow from the 25th place of the grid.
  • When it was crunch time, Dennis tried his best in Q2 and secured the 8th spot on the grid. The third row isn’t a bad place to start from at all!
  • Let’s keep working and let’s do our best!
The day has gone quite well. A real shame that I haven’t been able to find any slipstream, so I’ve set the lap time without any reference. Tomorrow we’ll try to be as in front as possible and we’ll be ready to fight”.

I’ve felt quite comfortable this morning. In the last part of the Q1, we’ve had a little problem and I couldn’t get to Q2. Tomorrow I’ll have to do a comeback race, I’ll give my best, and let’s see how it goes”.
