Le0pard rider Dennis Foggia has finished 4th on the combined standings of Friday of free practices at the Automodrom Brno (Czech Republic) and teammate Jaume Masia the 5th. A very positive day for the squad!
All-right, it was needed! We’ve just started the first week of the three in a row scheduled for the month of August: Brno welcomes the paddock for another racing weekend and after today’s results seems that this track could be our silver lining. Friday of free practice sessions is done and dusted and as always we will work harder than ever, but so far things have gone better than the previous weeks. Our riders are on Top5, a much desired result after some struggles in Jerez fifteen days ago.
It’s important to point out that we are racing at the Czech track under the same conditions as every year and in the same period of the year, that means the gathered data in the past is super valuable and useful to help the men on board the bike to do their best. As for today, immediately this morning Dennis Foggia seemed to feel so much better on his Honda and finished the 4th, while teammate Masia struggled a little, suffered two crashes (the rider is ok) and ended up the 21st. But then in the afternoon, when it was time to improve on the FP2, the whole team managed to solve the situation and indeed Masia moved up to 2nd and Foggia kept his pace and set the 6th fastest lap time. To quickly sum-up: they’ve gotten the 4th (Foggia) and the 5th (Masia) positions of the combined classification and Dennis Foggia’s bike has been the fastest of the day after getting to 223.6km/h. Right now and awaiting to see how things go on the FP3 tomorrow morning, both men are on Q2 and would avoid Q1. That would save some tyres and energy to fight for the best spot of the grid.
Let’s keep working hard, let’s be positive, and let’s make the most of the weekend!
