David Almansa leads a Le0pard Racing 1-2 on Friday at Misano

The first day of action of the San Marino Grand Prix finishes with David Almansa and Adrián Fernández in 1st and 2nd position respectively:

  • Friday got underway at Misano with Free Practice 1. David Almansa was 3rd with a time of 1’41.693, with a late crash at Turn 8 that prevented him from improving further. Adrián Fernández, for his part, finished 11th with the 1’41.935 he set at the end of his first run this morning.
  • A busy Practice session saw both riders at the top of the timesheets today. David Almansa set his fastest lap time of the day, the first 1’40, on his last flying lap, finishing 1st with a 1’40.596. Adrián Fernández was 2nd, setting a 1’41.094 on his second to last lap.
  • See you tomorrow for qualifying day!
“The feeling has been very good today. We are very happy to have finished Friday at the top of the timesheets together with the team, with my teammate in second place. This is very positive for us and further proof of the great work we are doing. Misano is a circuit that I really like, which is also a plus. I feel very motivated. We will continue working on this line to keep it up tomorrow!”

“We did a good job last season the two times we raced here, so we can say that getting off to a good start at Misano is something we’re quite good at. Qualifying will be difficult tomorrow, but we already have a pretty good base from which to improve. It’s being a long way, but we’re starting to see improvements and better results, so now is the time to keep pushing!”
