Difficult Sunday in Aragon

Lorenzo Dalla Porta finishes 11th at the Circuit of Aragon and teammate Marcos Ramirez crashes out at the first stages of the race.

The 14th round of the 2019 season ends up with Italian rider Lorenzo Dalla Porta crossing the line the 10th after a tough race. It was a Top10 for the blue team but ended up being a 11th, as the rider has been given a 1 position penalty due to exceeding track limits on the last lap. It’s been a hard race for him, as he struggled a little bit at the beginning starting from the 12th spot of the grid. Although he tried to push, this time things haven’t been easier. The front group has been faster and finally, he’s managed to grab five points which are very important for the championship. He sticks to the first position of the general standings with a 2-points-gap against direct rival Canet. On the other side of the box, Spaniard Marcos Ramirez has lost his chances when pushing to overtake in order to get to the lead group. The #42 started from the 20th position and recovered some positions at the beginning, was strong and aggressive, but unfortunately he ended up on the gravel. Despite the bad luck, Marcos occupies the 5th position on the classification just 3 points far from the 4th.

Definitely, a very difficult Sunday. The positive thing is that both the team and Lorenzo Dalla Porta keep the first position of the general standings and apparently, the upcoming races should be a good scenario to make the most. See you all in Thailand at the Buriram track the 6th of October!

t’s been a very hard race. I knew from the beginning that this track wasn’t the best for me because is not one of my favorites, but this weekend I had a good pace and felt quite good riding by my own. During today’s race I’ve tried to handle the situation, overtake riders and do a comeback but I’ve struggled at the start and the front group started to go away. It’s been a shame because I’ve lost another position due to the penalty I’ve been given after the end of the race. In any case, we try to stay positive, there are still 5 racesto go and we have to go ahead thinking race by race. Many thanks to the team, they’ve done a good job this weekend and we will try to fight again in two weeks”.
Lorenzo Dalla Porta,
11th
It’s been a shame the result we’ve gotten today. I wanted to reduce the distance against my rivals on the championship and I’m disappointed because it’s been impossible. I felt so strong at the beginning and I was faster than the front group, but I lost the front when I was pushing: I touched the white line, I crashed and that has jeopardized my chances. Honestly, a real shame. However, I’m sure we will be stronger in the upcoming races and as always, we’ll try it harder. Thanks to the team, they’ve given me a good bike and I would like to reverse this result very soon”.
