  • A bright Jerez dawned today for qualifying day of the Spanish Grand Prix.
  • Free Practice 2 saw both Le0pard riders recover their feeling this morning, therefore the confidence, with a consistent session. Adrián Fernández topped the timesheets with a time of 1’44.386, while David Almansa finished 5th with a 1’44.920.
  • A difficult qualifying was in store later today for David Almansa, who couldn’t make it through Q1. With a time of 1’45.585, he will start tomorrow’s race from 21st on the grid on the seventh row.
  • Adrián Fernández, for his part, clocked a 1’44.511 to qualify in 7th place today, starting from the third row of the grid tomorrow.
  • The most important day of the weekend awaits!
“Today’s been a positive day! We were able to regain some confidence this morning, finding a great feeling with the bike working also with used tyres. However, later in Q2, we started to struggle a bit in comparison. We will analyse everything today in order to understand why it happened and be ready for tomorrow’s race”
Adrián Fernández

“We went from a difficult Friday to a difficult Saturday. This morning things started to go well, gaining the confidence we lacked yesterday, but the strategy we had for qualifying didn’t work out, not being able to make it through Q1 at the end. We will have to push hard tomorrow, and I will definitely give my 200%”
David Almansa
