Grand Prix of Aragon: Saturday

Saturday of qualifying is done and dusted at the Motorland Aragon and the Le0pard Racing has had a bittersweet day, as both riders had solid feelings early this morning, and then found difficult conditions in the afternoon:

  • Dennis Foggia topped the standings of the FP3, the first position not only placed him straight in Q2 but also gave him the fuel to keep doing a good job.
  • Xavi Artigas did one of the best practice sessions of the year and got to the 12th position, a spot that allowed him to go to Q2.
  • When it was crunch time, conditions were more difficult and despite both riders had pace and speed to be on top, Xavi Artigas classified 12th and Dennis Foggia 14th, the fourth and fifth row of tomorrow’s race grid.
  • Let’s keep working and battling to achieve the best possible result!

We’ve done a solid FP3, we’ve been able to set a fast lap and we’ve managed to be straight in Q2. Then, in that session, I’ve felt quite comfortable with the bike, and having a used tyre I’ve taken the 12th position, which isn’t that bad. Tomorrow we’ll try to do a good start from the fourth row and let’s see how it goes”.
Xavi Artigas,
12th
I’m a bit disappointed because I haven’t been able to be as fast as in the FP3. There was a lot of wind and having a slipstream made a huge difference, and unfortunately, I didn’t. Regarding tomorrow’s race, it will be important to do a good start and gather as many points as possible”.

14th
