Grand Prix of Austria: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race from the second and third rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández on the 6th spot and David Almansa on the 9th:

  • Saturday kicked off with Free Practice 2 at Spielberg.
  • Working on improving the feeling as they lowered their lap times, David Almansa finished 7th this morning with the 1’40.207 he set by the end of his second run, while Adrián Fernández was 13th with a time of 1’40.603.
  • The time came for Q2 later in the day.
  • Pushing from the beginning, Adrián Fernández qualified in 6th position with the 1’40.264 he set on his first run. David Almansa, for his part, also set his best time of Q2 early on, with a 1’40.448 that puts him in 9th place on tomorrow’s grid.
  • We can’t wait to race!
“Positive day today! We were able to improve many things on the bike, achieving a much better feeling. In the morning we couldn’t put in a full good lap, but we did set a good one at the beginning of Q2 to start from the second row of the grid tomorrow. We’re ready to race!”

“I’m happy with the work we’ve done today! We’ve taken a big step forward compared to where we left off yesterday, improving our feeling with the bike. However, we didn’t qualify in the position we would have liked. We’ll start from the third row and give our best tomorrow!”
