Grand Prix of Czechia: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at Brno from the first and third rows of the grid, with David Almansa in 3rd position and Adrián Fernández in 7th:

  • Blue skies greeted us for qualifying day of the Czech Grand Prix.
  • Free Practice 2 got underway under the sun, with improvements coming from both sides of the box. Adrián Fernández had a consistent performance this morning, finishing in 2nd place with a time of 2’05.654. David Almansa, for his part, was 9th with the 2’06.292 he set on his last lap.
  • The clouds came in for qualifying, but the conditions remained dry.
  • David Almansa qualified 4th with a 2’05.091, while Adrián Fernández did so in 8th with a time of 2’05.394, both moving up one position on tomorrow’s grid due to a penalty given to another rider.
  • We are determined to give our best in the last race before the summer break.
“After struggling yesterday, not quite finding the feeling with the bike, we seem to have been able to turn it around today. We are happy both with our qualifying result, just 0.072 off pole, and with the set-up we have done on the bike, which allowed me to find a much better feeling today. We’re looking forward to keeping it up tomorrow!”

“It was a very positive Saturday. Today the main goal was to improve the feeling in the dry, which we achieved. I’m happy, of course not about the result, because we could have done better, but about this important improvement. I want to thank the team for the work they have done. I will do my best to pay them back tomorrow with a good race”
