Grand Prix of Germany: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race from the first and second rows of the grid, with David Almansa in 2nd position and Adrián Fernández in 6th:

  • Wet conditions welcomed us this morning for Free Practice 2 at Sachsenring.
  • Feeling confident in the wet, Adrián Fernández finished in 1st position with a time of 1’34.623, while David Almansa did so in 4th with the 1’35.024 he set halfway through the session.
  • Qualifying arrived while it was still raining at Sachsenring, with both Spaniards going directly into Q2.
  • David Almansa secured his best qualifying result so far today, claiming the 2nd spot on the grid with a time of 1’35.043. Adrián Fernández, for his part, will start from 6th on the second row tomorrow, clocking a 1’35.348 as his best time of qualifying, since a couple of his final laps, on which he was aiming for pole today, were cancelled.
  • We are eager to race!
“I felt really good in wet conditions today. However, qualifying was tricky because it was windier than in the morning. We gave our 100% and finished in 2nd place, only 42 thousandths of a second away from pole. It has been a good weekend so far here at Sachsenring, so we will try to seal it with a good result tomorrow!”

“Although today we didn’t get the result we wanted, Saturday was very positive for us. I felt very good in these conditions, the feeling with the bike was amazing, and we had a good rhythm, but we couldn’t complete a faster lap in qualifying. I’m confident that we can make a good race tomorrow whatever the weather. We are ready for it!”
