Grand Prix of Hungary: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race from the third and fourth rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández in 9th and David Almansa in 10th:

  • Saturday got underway under sunny skies at Balaton, with a solid Free Practice 2 from both Le0pard riders. Adrián Fernández kept improving until the chequered flag, setting a 1’46.046 on his last lap to sit in 3rd place. David Almansa, for his part, was 6th with a 1’46.344, crashing at Turn 5 in the final stages of the session.
  • A challenging qualifying was in store for the two Spaniards. Adrián Fernández left it to his last flying lap to set his best time of the session, as well as David Almansa. With a time of 1’46.498, Adrián Fernández will start from the 9th spot of the grid, while David Almansa will do so from 10th, clocking a 1’46.667 in Q2 today.
  • We can’t wait to race at Balaton for the first time!
“It wasn’t the qualifying we were hoping for, but I’m happy with today’s work because we’ve been able to improve our feeling a lot. Already this morning, in Free Practice 2, I felt very good, making fewer mistakes and setting a good pace, which has given me the confidence we needed to tackle tomorrow’s race”

“Today we have taken a step forward. In Free Practice 2 this morning I felt pretty good, being able to set a very good pace. Then, during Q2, things got a bit complicated. It was windy, and I struggled to put together a good full lap. We didn’t get the result we wanted today, but tomorrow we will give it our all”
