Grand Prix of Malaysia: Sunday

The Malaysian Grand Prix comes to an end with a difficult Sunday for Le0pard Racing:

  • Sunny skies and hot conditions greeted us for race day at Sepang, with Le0pard Racing starting today’s race from the first and third rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández on pole position and Ángel Piqueras in 7th.
  • On a challenging start to the race, the two Spaniards dropped positions. Adrián Fernández fought back to sit in 3rd, while Ángel Piqueras placed 11th.
  • The positions kept changing within a busy group, with both Le0pard riders moving up places. However, the two of them suddenly suffered a technical failure, with Adrian Fernandez and Ángel Piqueras returning to the pits, unable to finish today’s race.
“Today was supposed to be a good day for our team, as we were starting from pole and we were feeling strong after the good performance we have had all weekend. It’s a pity, but we can’t predict these kind of things, just accept them and keep working”

“It’s such a pity that the weekend ended like this for our team. I was feeling strong towards the race, but suddenly I felt something was wrong around 11 laps to go. The team is already analysing everything and I am sure we will come back stronger”
