Grand Prix of Thailand: Sunday

Le0pard Racing completes the Thai Grand Prix with Adrián Fernández in 6th place and Guido Pini in 20th, rejoining from a crash in the early stages of the race:

  • From 3rd and 9th on the grid, both Le0pard riders lost one position on the start. Adrián Fernández soon retook 3rd, while Guido Pini had a scare on the first lap, saving it to sit 12th.
  • With 16 laps to go, Guido Pini crashed at Turn 12, quickly rejoining the race to finish in 20th position. Adrián Fernández, for his part, was overtaken to 6th on Lap 8, fighting to retake 3rd, which he achieved 5 laps to go with a pass on the last corner.
  • Adrián Fernández tried to keep pushing within a four-way battle for the podium, but eventually finished today’s race in 6th position.
  • See you in two weeks’ time in Brazil!
“It wasn’t the result we were hoping for in the first race of the season. However, this shows us that we still need to keep working hard, polishing every aspect of our riding and the bike. It was important to finish today’s race, accumulating more and more kilometres in order to be ready for the next one in Brazil”

“It’s a pity, because it could have been a good race. The feeling at the start wasn’t the best, and the crash didn’t help either. Fortunately, we were able to rejoin the race and do more laps to continue learning for the rest of the season. Despite everything, we still have 21 more races to go, in which I’m sure we’ll do better and have some fun”
