Grand Prix of the Americas: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at the Circuit of the Americas from the third and sixth rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández in the 9th spot and David Almansa in the 18th:

  • Dry but tricky track conditions greeted us today for Free Practice 2 in the morning.
  • Adrián Fernández finished the session in 4th place, pushing in his second run to set a time of 2’16.293. David Almansa, on the other hand, suffered a crash that prevented him from rejoining the session, finishing in 24th place with a 2’18.488.
  • Q2 was also challenging for David Almansa, who crashed at the start of the session, not being able to set a time and qualifying 18th with his 2’24.442 from yesterday’s Practice. Adrián Fernández, for his part, qualified in 9th position with a time of 2’14.979, starting tomorrow’s race from the third row of the grid.
  • The most important day of the weekend awaits!
“The track conditions were not the best this morning, with some wet patches that made things a bit more difficult. Despite of this, I felt very good on the bike, putting in a good rhythm as well. Later in Q2, I tried and set the time on my own. We lacked a few more laps in dry conditions, but we’ll give it our best tomorrow anyway!”

“Today has been a challenging day. I had two crashes, one in the morning and the other in qualifying, which prevented me from accumulating laps to find a good feeling in dry conditions. Therefore, I expect tomorrow’s race to be tough, but I will give my 100% to do the best possible race”
