Grand Prix of the Netherlands: Friday

Friday of the Dutch Grand Prix comes to an end with David Almansa and Adrián Fernández in 6th and 9th position respectively:

  • Wet conditions awaited this morning for Free Practice 1 at Assen.
  • Adrián Fernández started the day with a steady performance, finishing 5th with a time of 1’46.572. On the other hand, an early crash at Turn 5 prevented David Almansa from improving further, placing 18th with a time of 1’48.667.
  • With dry conditions on track, the two Spaniards made the cut in the afternoon, securing their Q2 seats in Practice.
  • Although he suffered a crash near the end of the session, David Almansa finished Friday in 6th place with the 1’40.563 he had set in his first run. Adrián Fernández, for his part, clocked a 1’40.636 in his second run to sit in 9th position today.
  • See you tomorrow for qualifying day!
“I’m happy with the work we did today, but at the same time I’m a little upset about the crash we had in Practice. We were improving, riding on our own, but we couldn’t finish the lap. Nevertheless, the feeling was very good today, so we are ready and looking forward to qualifying!”

“Today’s conditions were not the best, but we have been able to find improvements in terms of the feeling with the hand after the injury. We still have to work on some details for qualifying, but the first step was to go straight into Q2, which we achieved today. I really like this track, so let’s try to keep it up!”
