Grand Prix of Valencia: Friday

It’s hard to believe that the 2021 season is coming to its end! The Ricardo Tormo Circuit is the scenario for the Grand Finale and today we’ve had the last free practices of the year. A bittersweet feeling at the Le0pard box, but nothing to worry about, let’s see why:

  • Early this morning our riders had to go on track finding particular conditions. Xavi Artigas classified 22nd (1’40.680), and Dennis Foggia 27th (1’40.975) after they canceled the best lap of the Italian at the end of the session.
  • In the afternoon, when it was time to try again at the FP2, as it had rained before, track conditions were trickier than the previous ones and it made no sense to risk. Despite that, Dennis Foggia finished 1st (1’41.524) and Xavi Artigas 12th (1’42.552).
  • The performance was better considering the circumstances but on the combined standings the Spaniard was still 22nd and the Italian 27th.
  • Tomorrow will be important to do a great FP3 and secure a Q2 spot. Let’s go, guys!
The FP1 has been difficult with the rain tyre and we haven’t been able to do a good lap. During the FP2, conditions were quite tricky and it made no sense to risk everything when lowering the times was almost impossible. We’ve just gone out to gather some information in order to be ready in case we find these conditions throughout the weekend”.
