Solid Top 10 for the Le0pard Racing after fighting for the victory

Jaume Masia has finished the 7th at the Grand Prix of San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini and teammate and Dennis Foggia the 9th.

Dreaming of having both Le0pard riders on the podium was more than possible today. Italian man Dennis Foggia and Spaniard Jaume Masia have done a very solid race that has ended up with an unexpected result after some bad luck. Jaume started from the 14th spot of the grid and Dennis from the 15th, and immediately on the first lap recovered positions and placed themselves on the top8. As the laps went by, they were determined, aggressive and fast, and there were some laps in which both were swapping positions and fighting for the podium. When being on this fight, Dennis Foggia got a contact from another rider and fortunately managed to avoid a crash, but that made him lose some time as the moment was quite severe. After the clash, Dennis saw himself relegated at the back of the first group and started to do his comeback to get the best result. Finally he crossed the line the 9th.

On the other side of the box, Masia kept the momentum and fought for the victory throughout most of the race, took the lead during some laps and started the last one as the leader, but got confused and during that lap didn’t feel good with the front tyre. He finished the 7th and as well as Dennis, gathered some important points for the championship. Things this way he is now the 9th on the standings (50 points) and teammate Dennis Foggia the 10th (44 points). The team is the 5th (94 points).

Stay tuned, we’ll be back in Misano in just one week time!

It’s been a difficult race, the group was so big and when there were two laps to the end, I got confused with the laps. It’s been a shame because I had a little problem with the front tyre but the important thing is that I’ve been fighting for the victory. I still am not at my 100% with the bike but we are working to get the victory”.

Another rider crashed and took me with his tyre, my airbag exploded and it took me a lap to deflate it. Due to this contact I couldn’t brake as previously because it also got the brake lever. On the last lap I had another contact and from 5th, I finished 9th. We’ll try again next week, many thanks to the team and to my technical staff”.
