Third and fourth row of the grid for the Le0pard Racing

Le0pard riders Jaume Masia and Dennis Foggia will start tomorrow from the 7th and the 12th spot of the grid respectively. Third and fourth row at the Motorland Circuit of Aragon.

It’s been a positive and fast Saturday! We can fairly say that we’ve improved a bit on qualifying sessions. Bearing in mind that it hasn’t been an easy FP3 as Jaume Masia had to miss the last 25 minutes (alongside several riders due to a sanction given because of slow riding on Q2 last week) things have gone prettty good. To sum-up: even like that, without less track time, thanks to the fastest lap time set yesterday (1’58.076), Masia was straight on Q2. On the other side of the box, Italian Dennis Foggia did his job on the FP3, set a 1’57.854 and went straight to Q2 too.

In the afternoon, at crunch time on qualifying session, things were pretty clear and our riders were determined to make the most of those 15 minutes. As customary, you have to take take a gamble with tyres, rivals don’t make it easy and without a good reference sometimes it’s difficult to be the fastest. Finally Jaume Masia has crossed the line the 7th (1’57.811) and Dennis the 12th (1’58.022). The bright side is that both feel good on the bike, have experience, know the track and are fast.

Let’s hope for the best and do not forget that race will take place at 11.20h CET!

I’m quite happy, I personally set the second or third row of the grid as a goal in mind to start from on Sunday. I’ve had two pair of new tyres and haven’t felt good with the second one. Anyway, we are in a good position to fight for the first places”.
Jaume Masia,
7th
I haven’t found any slipstream and I’ve set the lap time by my own but I’ve got a good pace. I will try to do a comeback tomorrow and fight for the first positions”.
Dennis Foggia,
12th
