When the magic happens: Le0pard Racing, Moto3 World Champion Team

Le0pard rider Dennis Foggia has finished 2nd at the Portuguese Grand Prix after a huge comeback and has given the Le0pard Racing the sufficient points to finish the year as the Moto3 World Champion Team. Bad luck for Jaume Masia, who was doing a tremendous race next to Dennis but has crashed 3 laps to the end.

Yesterday we got to the circuit knowing that both riders were penalized and had to do a double long lap during the race. That meant losing a lot of time, having to take some risks, and doing a great comeback. Well, that’s what our riders have done. Already from this morning we knew we could reverse this situation and do something great: Masia had been the first on the Warm Up and Dennis the third, so we were ready to push! Fast and unbeatable, both have repeated that performance during the race: double long lap, back group, comeback, podium fight. Jaume and Dennis have been fighting for the podium until the very last moment. The end of the race has been a kind of ‘heads and tails’. Foggia has managed to secure the second place and his 20 points have given the team the sufficient amount to end the 2020 season as the World Champion Team. On his side, when battling as a lion in front, Masia has crashed and has lost his chances. It could have been a doublet for the team!

It’s been a very difficult season and it’s important to always look at the bright side: the Championship has managed to finish the season despite covid situation, we’ve learned a lot, our bike has been the fastest most of the time and we’ve taken the team’s crown. Masia has ended up 6th on the final standings and Foggia the 10th. We are ready for the next challenge, thanks to everybody supporting us along the way!

Miodrag Kotur, Le0pard Racing Managing Director: “We would like to thank Jaume for his job, his professionalism, his effort, and his consistency this season. It’s been a pleasure working with him and we wish him the best, he will be a tough rival next year”.

Before the race I didn’t expect taking podium today. We’ve got to do a double long lap and that wasn’t easy, but I’ve given my best and finally I’ve finished 2nd. Many thanks to the team, they’ve done an incredible job this season”.
Dennis Foggia,
2nd
I wanted to get the best result possible to finish this season and I’ve given it all. Many thanks to the team for their support, I will never forget all the things I’ve learned with them”.
