Grand Prix of Czechia: Sunday

Le0pard Racing completes the Czech Grand Prix with Adrián Fernández and Guido Pini crossing the finish line in 14th and 16th positions respectively:

  • Making a strong start to today’s race, Adrián Fernández moved up from 10th to 6th, soon overtaking to move into 5th. Guido Pini moved up from 24th on the grid to 22nd at the start.
  • After dropping to 7th, Adrián Fernández was trying to push when he had a big moment on Lap 5, running off track and falling back to 19th. Guido Pini was running in 20th place by then.
  • Both riders tried to recover, pushing until the very end, with Adrián Fernández eventually crossing the finish line in 14th, ahead of Guido Pini, who finished 16th.
  • See you in Assen next week.
“It wasn’t easy today either. I focused on making a good start and it went quite well, but then I made an overtake that cost me some time. I was feeling really good on the bike, but I couldn’t keep a strong enough pace to catch the leading group. While trying to push, I had a big moment that made me drop to the back. I lost a lot of time and a lot of positions. We’re not going through an easy time, but I’m sure we’ll come back stronger. I expect to do more and better in Assen”

“The weekend didn’t start in the best way after Friday’s crash, but we managed to recover and go straight into Q2. Starting from 24th instead of 12th didn’t help, but I also didn’t have the pace to fight with the leading group today. We need to understand what we can do differently in the next races so that we can get back to fighting at the front”
