Grand Prix of Germany: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at the Sachsenring from the fourth and eighth rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández in 10th and Guido Pini in 22nd:

  • Clear skies welcomed us this morning for Free Practice 2. Guido Pini finished 4th, improving to a 1’25.735, while Adrián Fernández was 5th with a 1’25.832.
  • After successfully making it through Q1, Adrián Fernández set his fastest lap on his first run of Q2, a 1’25.408 he was unable to improve on, meaning he will start from 10th on the grid tomorrow.
  • Guido Pini, on the other hand, had a difficult Q1 and was unable to make it through, setting a 1’26.538 to qualify in 23rd place. The Italian will move up to 22nd on the grid following another rider’s penalty.
  • We will give it our all tomorrow!
“I think we’re starting to find the right direction because the feeling has improved a lot today. We were fast and consistent already in Free Practice 2, and our goal was to make it through Q1, which we achieved. We were just missing a little bit more in Q2 to put in a faster lap, but qualifying is always difficult in our category. I’m really happy with the work the team has done to make the bike more comfortable to ride, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s race”
Adrián Fernández

“This morning was positive as I found my feeling again after yesterday’s crash. Unfortunately, I couldn’t put together a good lap in qualifying and we couldn’t make it through Q1. There are still several things we need to improve, starting with myself, to get back fighting at the front, but I’m confident we can get back there together with the team. Tomorrow will be all about making a good start and fighting our way back through the field”
