Gran Premio d’Italia: Sunday

Le0pard Racing completes the Italian Grand Prix with Adrián Fernández crossing the finish line in 8th place while Ángel Piqueras does so in 11th:

  • The sun greeted us for race day at Mugello.
  • Le0pard Racing started today’s race from the sixth and seventh rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández sitting in the 17th spot and Ángel Piqueras in the 20th.
  • In a good and tight start to the race, both Adrián Fernández and Ángel Piqueras held onto their starting positions. The two Spaniards pushed, moving up some places early on, but the race was red-flagged at the beginning of Lap 4.
  • The race was restarted with Adrián Fernández in 12th position on the grid and Ángel Piqueras in 16th, positions based on Lap 3.
  • Both again had a good start to the race, with Adrián Fernández overtaking to 6th and Ángel Piqueras to 14th.
  • As the fight kept on within their group during the entire race, Adrián Fernández and Ángel Piqueras pushed towards the final stages of the race, crossing the finish line in 8th and 11th place respectively at the end.
  • We are now heading into a three-week break, already looking forward to the next race weekend in Assen!
“It’s been a difficult race as we had to make our way up from 17th on the grid, and in the end, after the red flag, we were able to finish in 8th place. We still have a lot of things to work on ahead of Assen. We will make the most of this short break to analyse everything and see where we can improve”

“Taking into account how the weekend has gone overall, today we can say that we were able to make a little step forward. The feeling improved and I felt more comfortable on the bike, however, we still lacked something in some parts of the track. It has not been an easy weekend. We’ll try again in Assen”
