Gran Premi de Catalunya: Sunday

Le0pard Racing completes the Catalan Grand Prix with a difficult race as Adrián Fernández crosses the finish line in 10th while Ángel Piqueras does so in 12th:

  • The sun greeted us for race day at Montmeló.
  • Le0pard Racing started today’s race from the third and fifth rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández sitting in the 8th spot and Ángel Piqueras in the 13th.
  • In a good start to the race, Adrián Fernández moved up to 7th. Ángel Piqueras, for his part, dropped a few places but recovered to 14th.
  • During the early stages of the race, both Spaniards tried to push, with Adrián Fernández staying in 7th and Ángel Piqueras sitting in 10th when it was 15 laps to go.
  • As the laps went by, the two Le0pard riders started to struggle as they kept fighting within a large and busy leading group, with no less than 15 riders in it.
  • The group began to split halfway through the race as the riders at the front pushed and opened up a gap, with Adrián Fernández and Ángel Piqueras in the chase from 8th and 13th respectively.
  • In the end, Adrián Fernández finished today’s race in 10th place, while Ángel Piqueras crossed the finish line in 12th.
  • Next week we’re racing in Mugello!
“It’s been a difficult race for me. Today we didn’t have the pace, and I was struggling to climb up places as the laps went by. We take the positives of the weekend and head to Mugello, where we’ll continue to work hard and try our best again”

“I didn’t feel completely comfortable with the bike today, so it was a very difficult race to manage. In addition, the group was very large, and that made things even more difficult. We look ahead to Mugello looking forward to keeping on learning and improving”
