Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race from the third and fourth rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández in 8th and Guido Pini in 11th:
- Saturday got off to a good start for Guido Pini, who kept improving to finish Free Practice 2 in 2nd position, setting a 1’57.308. On the other hand, Adrián Fernández suffered an early crash at Turn 4. The Spaniard rejoined the session later, finishing in 24th place with a time of 1’59.310.
- Setting his fastest lap on his last flying lap of Q2, Adrián Fernández will start from 8th on the grid with a 1’56.727, making him the top Honda rider today. Guido Pini, also leaving it to his last flying lap, will sit 11th on the grid after clocking a 1’56.904 in Q2.
- We can’t wait to race!
“It was a difficult day, to be honest. I made a mistake and crashed on my first lap this morning. When I went back out, I didn’t feel completely comfortable. In qualifying, we were able to regain the confidence and put together a good lap, although we were missing a couple of tenths. I’m confident that we can have a good race tomorrow if we learn from today’s mistakes.”
“I’m happy with how the day went, especially this morning, when we had a good pace and I finished 2nd. Although we’ll have to make up some ground tomorrow, I was also able to improve my lap time to a 1’56.904 in Q2, which is also positive. The truth is that I feel much better than in the previous race weekends. We’ll have to make the most of this good feeling to enjoy the race and hopefully bring home a good result.”
