Grand Prix of Hungary: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at Balaton from the fourth and sixth rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández in 11th and Guido Pini in 16th:

  • Partly cloudy skies and windy conditions welcomed us today for Free Practice 2. Adrián Fernández was 5th with a time of 1’45.935, while Guido Pini finished in 11th place with a time of 1’46.491.
  • Guido Pini suffered a crash on his first lap of Q2, but was able to go back out for a second run after returning to the pits, setting a time of 1’47.253 to sit 16th on tomorrow’s grid. Adrián Fernández, for his part, will start from 11th after clocking a 1’46.862 on his last flying lap.
  • We can’t wait to race!
“It was a strange qualifying session today, a bit chaotic. We only managed to put together one valid lap because of all the yellow flags, which meant everything came down to our last flying lap. Although we’ve tried to work on our own, we know this is a track where we need to adapt, as our pace is not as strong as it was in Mugello. It will be a tough race tomorrow, but we’ll give it our all until the end”

“We could have done a much better job in qualifying today, but the crash I suffered on the first lap made things more difficult. Starting from 16th is not ideal, but the positive thing is that we made some changes today that improved the feeling a lot. It won’t be easy, as there are not many overtaking points here in Balaton, but we’ll try to put together a strong comeback race”
