Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto from the second and seventh rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández in 6th position and Guido Pini in 21st:
- Wet conditions awaited this morning on track for Free Practice 2. Guido Pini finished in 6th place with a time of 1’56.981, whilst Adrián Fernández did so in 14th with a 1’58.209.
- Qualifying got underway in dry conditions. Guido Pini, who had to go through Q1, didn’t make the cut, finishing the session in 7th place with a time of 1’46.590, starting from 21st tomorrow.
- Adrián Fernández, for his part, qualified in 6th position with a time of 1’45.049, not being able to improve on his last flying lap in Q2 due to crashing at Turn 8.
- We can’t wait to race!
“I’m really happy today. We tried not to take too many risks this morning in the wet, but we still made the most of the session by testing our feeling with the bike. Despite the result, it was very positive. Later in qualifying, I managed to set a very good lap, which I couldn’t improve due to a crash. Nevertheless, I’m happy with the work we’ve done so far, and I’m looking forward to racing tomorrow in front of this amazing crowd!”
“It’s been a very difficult day. This morning we wanted to try out some different things in order to improve, but the conditions prevented us from doing so. The rain didn’t help, although we were quite fast in wet conditions. Qualifying, on the other hand, took place in the dry and we couldn’t make it through to Q2. It’s been a very complicated weekend so far, but fortunately, the points are earned tomorrow. I’ll do my best to make it up for it”
