Grand Prix of Thailand: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at the Chang International Circuit from the third and fourth rows of the grid, with David Almansa in 7th position and Adrián Fernández in 11th:

  • Warm temperatures greeted us again this morning for Free Practice 2 at Buriram.
  • The two Spaniards made the most of the session, both lowering their marks and testing their feeling on the bike ahead of qualifying. Adrián Fernández finished 2nd with a time of 1’40.506, while David Almansa sat in 5th place with a 1’40.709.
  • Hotter conditions awaited in the afternoon for a busy Q2, in which David Almansa clocked a time of 1’40.734 to start tomorrow’s race from the 7th spot on the grid, while Adrián Fernández will do so from the 11th spot with a time of 1’40.865.
  • We can’t wait to race!
“I’m very happy with my first qualifying of the year. We have been working very well during the weekend and I felt confident going into Q2. I was really fast on my last lap, but I made a mistake on the last sector, qualifying in 7th position in the end. We have the speed and the pace to fight tomorrow!”

“This morning I regained some confidence in Free Practice 2, as we were able to improve our feeling compared to yesterday afternoon. During Q2, as the heat had increased, things were a bit more difficult to manage. I think we could have qualified better, but I wasn’t able to put in a full good lap. Anyway, we are ready to face the challenge of making up positions in tomorrow’s race!”
