Portuguese Grand Prix: Friday
The third round of the 2021 season has started at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve and today the Le0pard Racing have been testing its options throughout the length of the Portuguese track.
These are the main facts of today’s action on track:
- Dennis Foggia has finished the 9th on the combined standings after setting a 1’50.616 lap time.
- Teammate Xavi Artigas has ended up the 19th (1’51.144) after seeing his best lap time canceled due to a yellow flag at that moment.
- Weather conditions have been jeopardizing today’s performance in both practice sessions, without any doubt the forecast will play a huge role this weekend.
- This is the first of the European weekends, let’s keep working as there’s still a lot of work to do.
Dennis Foggia, 9th
“I’m quite happy, we know we could have done better but when I was doing my flying lap I’ve found another rider and I’ve lost some time. I’m confident and we’ll keep working to be ready for the race”.
Xavi Artigas, 19th
“Today’s conditions were challenging. I’ve felt good on the fp1 and then on the FP2 things have been more difficult: they’ve canceled my flying lap because there was a yellow flag at that moment and then the rain has appeared and we haven’t been able to keep working. Tomorrow on the FP3 I’ll push to try to be on Q2".
