The third round of the Moto4 European Cup at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto came to an end for the Leopard Junior Team after a demanding weekend under high temperatures. Edoardo Savino secured his third podium of the season, taking 3rd place in a photo finish in Race 1, but was unable to score any points in a red-flagged Race 2 after being caught up in a crash he could not avoid. Joining Leopard Junior, Spanish rider Oliver Cantos had a positive weekend, progressing from Q1 to Q2 before finishing 23rd in Race 1 and 18th in Race 2. Ziven Rozul Abiy Salim continued to build experience in the Last Chance Race, crossing the finish line in 12th position.

“It was a positive weekend overall. We made good progress on Friday, finished 4th in Practice and improved even further in qualifying. We went into Sunday with a great set-up, and the bike felt perfect in Race 1, where we secured another podium in 3rd place. Unfortunately, I was involved in a crash in Race 2 that I couldn’t avoid, which meant I couldn’t score any points. I would like to thank the team for all the hard work they put in during this challenging weekend, as well as my sponsors and my family for all their support!”

“I’m very happy with how my first weekend with Leopard Junior went. I had to get used to both the new bike and the team, and with every session I felt more comfortable and more confident on track. We kept improving little by little, trying different things that helped us move forward throughout the weekend. We leave Jerez feeling positive, and I’m already looking forward to the next round in France at Magny-Cours.”

“I would like to thank the team for all the hard work they have done throughout the weekend. Racing in the high temperatures at Jerez was a big challenge for me, especially as it was my first time at this track. Even so, I was able to keep improving, and I hope to take another step forward in the next round. See you in Magny-Cours!”
