Third and fourth row of the grid for the Le0pard Racing

Le0pard riders Jaume Masia and Dennis Foggia will start tomorrow from the 9th and the 11th spot of the grid respectively. Third and fourth row at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

We’ve started Saturday’s action on track being super focused and motivated as after a sanction given to a big bunch of riders due to slow riding last week (including our Le0pards), we had to miss the last 15 minutes of the FP3. That meant that Masia and Foggia had to set their fast lap times at the beginning of the session, and they did it! Both riders went straight to Q2 after doing their job on the first practice of the day.

As we always say, Moto3 is an unpredictable category and everything can happen. Today neither Dennis nor Jaume managed to set their perfect lap due to some traffic on track, but without any doubt they would’ve done it with a clearer path, as they’ve been fast and strong throughout the whole weekend. They couldn’t set their fast lap and finally they’ve classified the 9th and the 11th, but will start from the 8th and the 10th as unfortunately Tatsuki Suzuki has been declared unfit and won’t race tomorrow.

Let’s cross our fingers and hope for the best!

It’s been a difficult qualifying, we didn’t expect this result. I’ve made a mistake in terms of strategy and I haven’t found a slipstream. The positive thing is that I’ve classified better than last week and I can’t wait to enjoy tomorrow’s race, we are ready”.
Jaume Masia,
9th
We haven’t got a real chance as there wasn’t any slipstream. In any case and despite the position, I feel good and confident. I believe there will be a big group of riders fighting in front and we’ll try to be on top”.
Dennis Foggia,
11th
